Made from a biodegradable cellulose and all-natural cotton blend (70% cellulose / 30% cotton), these dishcloths are very similar to traditional Swedish dishcloth material. They’re a sustainable alternative to sponges and paper towels and are both washing machine and dishwasher safe, allowing them to be reused again and again while reducing household waste. Plus, they resist bacteria growth (unlike traditional sponges), so you won’t end up with that unpleasant sponge smell.

These compostable Swedish dishcloths are perfect for everyday household chores — from wiping up spills to polishing granite, stainless steel, and glass for a streak-free shine. Use with just water, soap, or your favorite cleaners.* Each dishcloth lasts approximately 6 months to 1 year, depending on use. When it’s time to retire it, simply toss it in the garbage or your compost pile.

Care Instructions

Clean and disinfect your Swedish Dishcloth with the following methods:
- Combine your dishcloth with your laundry in the washing machine
- Place on the top rack of your dishwasher
- Boil in a pot of water for 5 minutes
- Microwave (ONLY WHILE DAMP) for one minute on high

Hang over the faucet or lay flat to air dry. Do not tumble dry.

Processing: Since many of our products are printed in small batches in our Montana studio, please allow 2–7 business days for your order to ship.

Shipping: Once your item is on the trail, we’ll email you a tracking number. Orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail, with most U.S. deliveries arriving 3–7 business days after shipping.
